Jaipur

Birla Mandir – Birla Mandir, Jaipur (Lakshmi Narayan Temple) is a Hindu temple located in Jaipur, India, and is one of many Birla Temple. It was built by the B.M. Birla Foundation in 1988 and is constructed solely of white marble. It is dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu (Narayan), whose images appear inside, along with other Hindu gods and goddesses and selections from the Gita and Upanishads. The temple is open daily with visiting hours between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, as well as between 4:00 PM and 8:00 AM. It is located in Jaipur’s Tilak Nagar neighborhood near Moti Dungari hill.

Jantar Mantar Observatory– The Jantar Mantar is a collection of architectural astronomical instruments, built-in 18th century. The Jaipur observatory is the largest and best-preserved of few such others built in that period and is considered one of the world heritage sites.

Hawa Mahal– Hawa Mahal is a unique five-story building built in 1799 akin to the honeycomb of the beehive with its 953 small windows called jharokhas. The original intention of the lattice was to allow royal ladies to observe everyday life in the street below without being seen since they had to observe strict “purdah”. It’s a popular monument to visit for guests arriving at Jaipur for its unique architecture and views around the area.

City Palace Jaipur– City Palace is a palace complex in Jaipur which was the seat of the royal family of Jaipur. The Chandra Mahal palace now houses a museum (Sawai Mansingh Museum) but the greatest part of it is still a royal residence. The palace complex incorporates an impressive and vast array of courtyards, gardens, and buildings.

Albert Hall Museum– Albert Hall Museum is a state museum built in the late 19th century having a rich collection of artifacts like paintings, carpets, ivory, stone, metal sculptures, colorful crystal works, etc.

Amer Fort– Amer Fort is located in Amer, 12 kilometers from Jaipur. It is one of the principal tourist attractions of Jaipur, located high on a hill. Amer Fort was built in the 18th century and is known for its artistic style. With its large ramparts, series of gates, and cobbled paths, the fort overlooks the Maota Lake, at its forefront. The fort is a must for its different areas, its spread over 4 levels, and its aesthetic ambiance. The areas comprise Diwan-e-Aam or the “Hall of Public Audience”, the Diwan-e-Khas or the “Hall of Private Audience”, the Sheesh Mahal (mirror palace) or Jai Mandir, and the Sukh Niwas where a cool climate is artificially created by winds that blow over the water cascade within the palace. There is also a step well nearby that could be an interesting visit for any traveler.

Moti Dungari– Moti Dungari Temple is a Lord Ganesh temple and a major attraction in Jaipur. Set on a hilltop, the temple is well visited all through the year.

Anokhi Museum– The Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing is dedicated to the collection, preservation, and interpretation of block-printed cloth. Exhibits and educational programming highlight various aspects of this ancient craft in order to strengthen appreciation for a living art form.

Ladli Vocational Training Centre for Street Children– Ladli is a Vocational school for rescued street children. They welcome visitors and sell the jewelry the children have made. It’s one of a kind project and an excellent place to arrive for souvenir shopping. Experiential travelers and those interested in arts and crafts can spend more time volunteering. Ladli is a project of the small, independent, non-profit organization I-India. It relies entirely on the generous support of customers, volunteers, and donors.

Mehandipur Balaji Temple– Sri Mehandipur Balaji Temple in Dausa is a Lord Hanuman Temple and renowned pilgrim center at 60 Kms from Jaipur, just off Agra Road.

Ranthambhore

Wildlife and Bird watching in Ranthambhore– Ranthambhore is the most visited park of Rajasthan. It’s a relatively smaller park spread over 90 sq Kms and accessed from Sawai Madhopur Station (12 Kms) or Jaipur (180 Kms). Ranthambhore is best known for its large tiger population. Other major wild animals include leopard, nilgai, dhole, wild boar, sambar, hyena, sloth bear, and chital. Sightings are Average for Tigers and Average to Good for other Mammals. Besides tigers, the reserve has a bird population with more than 270 different species of birds.

Day 1: Jaipur Airport/Station to Hotel

Arrival at Jaipur Railway Station / Airport, transfer to hotel. Jaipur is a major destination in Rajasthan visited for its heritage experience. In the evening you can take an optional tour to visit Laxminarayan Temple (Birla Mandir), Moti Doongri Temple (Lord Ganesh temple) & Chokhi Dhani – An Ethnic Village Resort. Back to the hotel. Overnight, stay at a hotel in Jaipur.

Day 2: Jaipur Local Sightseeing

After breakfast starts for a full day of local sightseeing in Jaipur. Visit Amber Fort & Palace, "Gaitore" Cenotaphs (Front View), take a photo stop at Jal Mahal, City Palace & Museum, Jantar Mantar (Observatory) & take a photo stop at Hawa Mahal. Later, visit Anokhi Textile Museum and Albert Hall Museum. Experiential travelers may visit Ladli, a Vocational training center for street children. Overnight, stay at a hotel in Jaipur.

Day 3: Jaipur to Ranthambhore via Dausa (12 Kms covered in 1 Hr by road)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Ranthambhore. En route visit Mehandipur Balaji Temple (Lord Hanuman Temple). Arrive at Ranthambhore, check into your hotel. Ranthambhore is a wildlife destination and home to a healthy Tiger Population and Migratory Birds in winter (Oct-March). Overnight, stay at a hotel in Ranthambhore.

Day 4: Morning & Evening Safari in Ranthambhore

Enjoy morning and evening Safari in the Ranthambhore. Ranthambhore is spread under 100 sq Kms and Tiger sighting is frequent. Zone allocation in Ranthambhore is never certain, no. of Jeeps allowed in the park is limited (one is required to book well in advance to avail Jeep Safari) and so Canter safari experience is average. Overnight, stay at a hotel in Ranthambhore.

Day 5: Ranthambhore to Sawai Madhopur (12 Kms covered in 1 Hr by Car)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drop at Sawai Madhopur railway station for the return journey.
