1. Har ki Pauri
If you are in Haridwar, you can’t skip Ganga Arti at har ki Pauri. Ganga aarti means worship of Ganga. Masses gather at the riverside of the holy Ganga every day from 06:00 pm – 07:00 pm. The priests hold large fire bowls in their hands, the bells in the temples at the Ghat start ringing and the chants of mantras flowing out in the air. People float diyas, with flowers on Ganga.

2. Chandi Devi Temple
Less than five kilometers off from the city, Chanda Devi Temple, also known as Neel Parvat Teerth, is a very popular destination in Neel Parvat. It can be reached by trekking uphill or through a cable car. According to legends, the temple is situated at the same place where Chandi, the goddess born from the energies of the male divinities, killed Chand- Mund, and then Shumbha and Nishumbha. The idol is believed to be erected by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8 century AD.

3. Mansa Devi Temple
One of the most admired destinations of Haridwar, Mansa Devi Temple offers a stunning panoramic view of the city. Located at the Bilwa parvat, the holy abode of Devi Mansam is said to have emerged from the mind of Lord Shiva. It is also known as Bilwa Teerth. The term Mansa means wish and it is believed that the goddess fulfills all the wishes of a sincere devotee.

4. Chilla Wildlife Sanctuary
Spread across 249 square kilometers, Chilla wildlife sanctuary is a key tourist attraction. Just 10 kilometers away from the city, the eastern banks of river Ganga host the fauna species, with gushing greenery and a plethora of vistas. It is home to animals like tigers, deers, elephants, peacocks, quails, hawks, hornbills, etc.

5. Shantikunj ashram

    I would like to know whether travelers from Karnataka needs to carry Negative RT-PCR report to enter in Haridwar.

    As per latest guidelines issued by Uttarakhand Government, the tourists coming from states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, MP and Chhattisgarh needs to carry negative covid-19 report. For Karnataka, no such required.
