Mount Abu

Nakki Lake– Nakki Lake is the center of tourist attraction in Mount Abu at a walking distance from the town center. Raghunath Temple and Maharaja Jaipur Palace are also on hills near the Lake.

Dilwara Jain Temple Complex– Mount Abu is home to one of the most visited and architecturally renowned Jain temples (11 to 13th century), Dilwara Temples. The complex comprises many temples

Guru Shikhar– Guru Shikhar, a peak at an altitude of 5,676 feet (1722 meters), is the highest point in Rajasthan. It is located at a distance of 15 km from Mount Abu. It has a commanding view of Abu and its surroundings. There is also a temple here of Lord Dattatreya, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Ambaji Pilgrimage– Ambaji Temple at Ambaji is considered one of the Shakti Peethas and has considerable local and regional importance. Ambaji Temple if one of the major regional pilgrim centers and gets hundreds of thousands of devotees arriving every day for darshan.

Stepwell at Patan– Rani-ki-Vav at Patan (11th Century) is a set of step wells and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site List since 1998. This magnificent east-facing step well measures approximately 64m long, 20m wide & 27m deep. A stepped corridor compartmented at regular intervals with pillared multistoried pavilions is a unique feature. It was one of the largest and the most sumptuous structures of its type. There are many Tourist Attractions around Patan including Forts, Vavs (Step Wells), Talavs (Lakes), and places of worship. Salvivad, a place where Patolas (Textile handicraft) are woven along with places where traditional clay toys are made is also worth visiting. Patan is typically visited en route from Ahmedabad to Mount Abu / Palanpur / Ambaji or as an excursion ex-Ahmedabad along with Modhera Sun Temple.

Modhera Sun Temple– The Sun Temple (1026 AD) at Modhera in Gujarat, is a temple dedicated to the Hindu Sun-God, Surya. Sun temple today is a well-maintained site and a popular visit en route for all travelers. There is a stepwell within a temple complex and the Sun temple is characterized by erotic carvings.

Day 1: Ahmedabad to Mount Abu (200 Kms covered in 3-4 Hrs by road)

Arrive at Ahmedabad and Travel to Mount Abu. En route, it’s possible to visit Ambaji Temple (50 Kms from Mount Abu, requires a 22 km detour). In the evening visit Nakki Lake and enjoy boating (on direct payment) and visit the local market. Overnight, stay at a hotel in Mount Abu.

Day 2: Mount Abu Sightseeing

After breakfast, local sightseeing in and around Abu including Dilwara Jain Temple Complex, Gurushikhar, and Art of Living Centre. Guests can undertake an Excursion to Ambaji Temple (50 Kms) if not visiting the temple on Day 1 or Day 3 OR just walk around the lake and enjoy the hill station character of the area. Overnight, stay at a hotel in Mount Abu.

Day 3: Mount Abu to Ahmedabad (200 Kms covered in 3-4 Hrs by road)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Ahmedabad. Time permitting guests have the option to visit Patan Step wells and Modhera Sun Temple (UNESCO Site) en route. Drop at Ahmedabad for a return journey with Happy Memories.
