Kankhal– Kankhal is a pilgrim area in Haridwar (3 Kms) and home to many monuments of pilgrim interest such as Anandmayee Ashram – The Samadhi of Shree Shree Ma Anandmayee; Daksh Mahadev temple – A Lord Shiva temple believed to have been the site of a Yagna conducted by Daksha Parad Shivling. In Kankhal one can also see Parad Shivling (Mercury Shivling) weighing about 150 Kgs and Rudraksha tree Sati Kund. Sati Kund is believed to be a place where Sati became popular by immolated herself.
Chandi Devi Temple– Chandi temple (1929) is a Siddha Peeth Devi temple situated at 3 Kms uphill on Chandi Ghat. It’s one of the most visited temples in Haridwar. Pilgrims can also take the cable car to Chandi Devi Temple.
Patanjali Yogapeeth– This is the home of Baba Ramdev and ever since the popularity of television programs has grown, Patanjali Yogapeeth has been seeing thousands of visitors daily arriving here for Yoga and alternate therapy based cures for a range of ailments.
